From Black To Green
I must confess, I haven’t always been good with plants. Don’t get me wrong though, I’ve always LOVED plants, but they haven’t always loved me back. I used to kill succulents, herbs, flowers, and pretty much anything with leaves attached. So one day I decided I was over the sad defeat of dead plants and the time had come for me to turn that little black thumb green!
I began my journey by purchasing one plant [a Philodendron] and directing my focus to that specific plant. I spent time each day researching care tips, watering guides, sunlight needs, growing habits, and more! I would trial my plant in different rooms with different sunlight types until I found the perfect fit. It didn’t take long for me to notice the stems getting longer and new leaves sprouting! After about two months of positive growth and a secure watering schedule, it was time to reward myself and add another plant to the fam. I repeated the same process with each new addition and before I knew it I became the crazy plant lady with an in home jungle!
